Job description

Your new company

Are you an experienced Executive Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment? We are seeking a highly capable professional to provide executive support to a senior executive within a large WA Government department.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being at the centre of operations, managing competing priorities, building strong stakeholder relationships, and providing high-level support in a demanding office environment.

Your new role

Reporting to a senior executive, you will provide proactive and responsive executive support while acting as a key liaison across the organisation. This role requires a confident self-starter who can quickly establish themselves, work autonomously, and manage a busy workload with professionalism and discretion.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Complex diary, inbox and meeting management
  • Preparing correspondence, briefing papers, reports and presentations
  • Managing workflows, priorities and follow-up actions on behalf of the executive
  • Coordinating travel arrangements, meetings and corporate events
  • Liaising with senior leaders, ministerial offices and external stakeholders
  • Providing committee and secretariat support, including agendas and minutes
  • Managing confidential information with a high degree of discretion
  • Supporting high-volume executive and divisional activities as required

What you'll need to succeed

  • Demonstrated experience providing executive support at a senior leadership level
  • Exceptional organisation and diary management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
  • The ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Experience working with ministerial, parliamentary or government correspondence processes is highly regarded
  • Experience using Objective or similar records management systems will be highly advantageous

This is an office-based role and requires a commitment to working full-time on site. Due to operational requirements, flexibility to work from home is not available.
A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check will be required prior to commencement.

What you'll get in return

  • Immediate start opportunity
  • Full-time temporary Monday to Friday position
  • Opportunity to work closely with a senior executive and key stakeholders
  • Dynamic and fast-paced environment where no two days are the same
  • Opportunity to make an immediate impact
