Full Time
Your new company
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join a well-established and growing construction and property group based in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.
This privately owned business operates across two core divisions – construction and property, delivering high-end, luxury residential projects exclusively within the Eastern Suburbs. With a strong pipeline of multi-billion-dollar developments over the next decade, the business continues to expand its portfolio and internal finance function.
The role will sit within a lean, hands-on finance team, reporting to the Accounts Manager and working closely with senior leadership and an external accountant.

End-to-end bookkeeping across a portfolio of 4–5 entities (from a group of ~50)
Manage day-to-day accounting transactions using Xero
Process accounts payable invoices and oversee payment runs
Perform bank, creditor and intercompany reconciliations
Maintain and manage rental income, loans, and property-related accounts
Support cash flow monitoring and reporting
Assist with BAS preparation and compliance requirements
Liaise with banks, external suppliers, and contractors
Support ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis
Undertake general administration tasks, including managing emails and finance-related queries
Assist with bank account setup and ongoing banking relationships
About the Team & Environment
Reporting to an Accounts Manager, with exposure to senior leadership
Collaborative, family-oriented culture with a flat structure and minimal hierarchy
Fast-paced environment requiring initiative, resilience, and a proactive mindset
Office-based role in Paddington (5 days per week) – easily accessible via public transport
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a full-function bookkeeping role – ideally within construction and a strong working knowledge of Xero (essential). You must have excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and the ability to work under pressure. You must bring a positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to take ownership and are comfortable working in a hands-on, evolving business environment.

This role offers a competitive salary package with bonus potential. You will be joining a stable and well-established organisation with strong, supportive leadership, and will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while contributing to the continued growth of the business.
