Hays are pleased to be partnering with this established business within the logistics and supply chain sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Accountant looking to broaden their experience across transactional finance, month-end processes, reconciliations, reporting and business support within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Your new role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

• Assist with month-end activities, reconciliations and reporting
• Oversight of AP/AR and coordinate workflow
• Assist with cashflow reporting
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Coordinate audit requests
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and workflows
• Provide adhoc admin support

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have at least 2–3 years' experience in a similar role and looking to take the next step in your career. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills will be needed as well as a hands-on, proactive approach. Freight forwarding industry experience will be ideal but not mandatory.
