Your new role

We are currently seeking a Property Officer to join a dedicated Property & Assets team within a large, purpose-driven organisation operating across the Northern Territory.
This is a diverse and hands-on role, supporting the management of residential and commercial properties across multiple urban and remote regions. You’ll play a key part in ensuring properties are safe, compliant and well-maintained, while working closely with internal teams, landlords, contractors and regional stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and prepare lease agreements, including bonds, inspections and documentation
  • Coordinate maintenance, repairs and contractor engagement across urban and remote locations
  • Support staff housing and office accommodation allocation and utilisation
  • Maintain accurate property records, reporting and documentation systems
  • Liaise with landlords, contractors and service providers to ensure timely completion of works
  • Monitor outstanding maintenance issues and escalate risks or delays as required
  • Assist in planning and coordinating preventative maintenance programmes
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, processes and service delivery
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential or commercial property management
  • Relevant property or real estate qualifications (highly regarded)
  • Experience or knowledge of tenancy legislation (or ability to quickly acquire)
  • Strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret leases, contracts and legislation
  • Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and property management systems
  • Current C Class Driving Licence
  • Willingness and ability to undertake regular travel to remote and regional locations
  • Comfortable travelling via 4WD and light aircraft
