Lending Manager

Job description

Your new company

This established mutual bank has built a strong reputation for putting its customers and members at the centre of everything it does. Backed by a loyal customer base, strong brand recognition and a collaborative team environment, the organisation continues to invest heavily in its people, technology and customer experience. With a strong national presence, genuine commitment to flexibility and a people-first culture, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lending professional seeking long-term stability, work-life balance and a steady flow of quality lending opportunities.

Your new role

As a Lending Manager, you will manage residential lending opportunities from initial enquiry through to settlement, helping customers navigate the borrowing process while delivering exceptional service and outcomes.
You'll inherit an established flow of opportunities, allowing you to focus on customer conversations, credit quality and conversion rather than self-generated business development.

In this role, you will:
  • Manage home loan applications from enquiry through to settlement
  • Structure lending solutions tailored to individual customer needs
  • Guide customers through the application process while maintaining exceptional service levels
  • Liaise with key internal stakeholders to ensure smooth progression of applications
  • Identify suitable cross-sell opportunities across relevant financial products
  • Maintain strong compliance and responsible lending standards
  • Work towards an achievable annual lending target of $20 million
  • Build long-term relationships through outstanding customer experiences and trusted advice

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in end to end residential home lending from application through to settlement

  • Strong ability to hold professional lending conversations and build rapport with customers

  • Sound understanding of responsible lending and compliance requirements

  • Tier 2 (RG146) accreditation required

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple applications simultaneously

  • A customer-first mindset with a genuine passion for helping people achieve their property goals

What you'll get in return

  • Existing customer opportunities provided with no requirement to self-generate business

  • 50% work from home and flexible working arrangements

  • Strong brand recognition and a loyal customer base

  • Genuine work-life balance with a supportive and collaborative culture

  • Access to ongoing training, development and career progression opportunities

  • Stable, long-term career opportunity within a highly regarded organisation

  • Comprehensive onboarding and support from an experienced leadership team

  • Opportunity to focus on customer outcomes rather than prospecting and lead generation
