• Plan and conduct focused and timely investigations, in line with agreed performance measures.
• Prepare authoritative and high-quality reports, briefs and correspondence on complex issues.
• Exercise sound professional judgement regarding the application of legislation and the development of policy options relating to disciplinary matters.
• Demonstrate accountability in respect of managing risk associated with disciplinary matters.
• Communicate clearly, effectively and sensitively with stakeholders.
• Negotiate with stakeholders utilising persuasion.
• Provide specialist support to Senior Investigators and the Investigations Manager to enable high-quality investigations and regulatory enforcement activity to be undertaken within agreed timeframes.
• Effectively utilise existing systems to capture and record investigation activities and contribute to the development of the organisation’s business systems.
• Work collaboratively across the organisation to contribute to the delivery of outcomes aligned with the Strategic Plan, model the Victorian public sector values and the organisation's behaviours and contribute to a positive culture and working environment both within the Professional Conduct Team and across the organisation.
• Certificate IV in government investigations is highly regarded, however, not essential.
