Your new role

Working in a trusted one-on-one capacity with a Special Counsel, you will provide high-level administrative and legal support while helping to establish and enhance the firm's presence in the Canberra market.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Complex diary and inbox management.
  • Preparation, drafting and formatting of legal documentation and correspondence.
  • Matter management and file administration.
  • Coordinating meetings, travel arrangements and stakeholder engagement.
  • Billing, timesheet management and client reporting.
  • Liaising confidently with clients, counsel, courts and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting business development initiatives, events and client activities.
  • Providing operational support as the Canberra office continues its growth trajectory.


What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will be a polished and experienced Legal Secretary with a strong track record of supporting senior legal practitioners within a law firm environment.
You will bring:

  • Extensive experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant.
  • Previous experience supporting a Partner, Special Counsel or senior legal practitioner.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and document production capabilities.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work autonomously.
  • A genuine desire to contribute to a growing practice and be part of a success story.
