Your new role

• Perform preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on hospital electrical systems and equipment.
• Inspect, test, diagnose, and repair electrical faults in accordance with relevant standards and legislation.
• Maintain electrical distribution systems, switchboards, lighting, power circuits, emergency lighting, and essential services infrastructure.
• Support the maintenance and testing of backup power systems, including generators and UPS equipment.
• Undertake electrical installation and upgrade projects across hospital facilities.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are accurately recorded within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Participate in the on-call roster and respond to urgent maintenance requests when required.
• Liaise with clinical staff, contractors, and stakeholders to minimise disruption to hospital operations.
• Maintain compliance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with contractor supervision and quality assurance of outsourced works.

What you'll need to succeed

• WA Electrical Workers Licence.
• Current Driving Licence.
• Current Construction White Card.
• Demonstrated experience in electrical maintenance within commercial, healthcare, industrial, or large facility environments.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and electrical safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary maintenance team.

What you'll get in return

• This is a full-time role (37.5 hours Monday to Friday)
• Overtime available on request (with penalties)
• 3-month temporary position, with the possibility of a 3-month extension
• Proximity to train and bus stations
• Hourly rate $56.38 + penalties
• 12% super (salary sacrifice options available)
