Your new role

• Perform planned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance on hospital electrical assets and infrastructure.
• Diagnose and repair faults in electrical systems, switchboards, lighting, power circuits and control systems.
• Maintain and test emergency power systems, including generators, UPS systems and essential services infrastructure.
• Inspect, test and certify electrical installations in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and maintain building management systems (BMS), electrical controls and automated equipment.
• Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns, faults and emergency situations.
• Complete maintenance records, work orders and compliance documentation accurately.
• Support contractors and specialist service providers undertaking work on site.
• Participate in on-call and after-hours emergency response rosters as required.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance asset reliability and service delivery.

What you'll need to succeed

• An unrestricted 'A Grade' electrical licence valid in Western Australia
• WA Driving Licence.
• Demonstrated experience as a Maintenance Electrician in a commercial, industrial, healthcare or critical infrastructure environment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of Australian electrical standards, codes and safety regulations.
• Experience with switchboards, motors, control systems and power distribution networks.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Basic hand tools are required, all electrical tools will be provided.

What you'll get in return

• This is a full-time role (37.5 hours Monday to Friday)
• Overtime available on request (with penalties)
• 3-month temporary position, with the possibility of a 3-month extension
• Proximity to train and bus stations
• Hourly rate $56.38 + penalties
• 12% super (salary sacrifice options available)
