Hays Trades & Labour are partnering with a well-established South Australian organisation that delivers innovative automation, electrical and control system solutions across mining, infrastructure, utilities and industrial sectors. Due to continued project growth, we are seeking an experienced Panel Building Electrician to join their Adelaide workshop team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-quality switchboards, control panels and automation systems within a modern workshop environment.

Your New Role
Working alongside a skilled team of electricians and automation specialists, your responsibilities will include:
  • Assembly and wiring of electrical control panels and switchboards
  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Installation of PLC, VSD, instrumentation and control components
  • Fault finding and testing of completed panels
  • Ensuring all work meets Australian Standards and quality requirements
  • Supporting workshop production schedules and project delivery timelines
What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Electrical A Class Licence
  • Demonstrated experience in panel building and switchboard assembly
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
  • Experience with control wiring, PLC and industrial automation systems (Desirable)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and workshop safety awareness
