From designing innovative service approaches to managing clinical risks and building workforce capability, this is your chance to lead meaningful change and elevate the quality of care across North Queensland.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and continuous improvement of clinical governance frameworks, policies and care models aligned with best practice.
• Provide expert guidance to ensure safe, high-quality care across child and family, youth, disability and mental health services.
• Champion quality improvement initiatives that enhance safety, outcomes and service performance.
• Drive compliance and risk management activities, including audits, incident response and accreditation readiness.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support integrated care.
• Analyse trends, risks and opportunities to improve service delivery.
• Deliver education, guidance and support to strengthen workforce capability.
• Provide leadership in managing client risk within community settings, ensuring timely identification, escalation and intervention.

What you'll need to succeed

• Extensive clinical experience with strong professional judgement and a focus on quality, safety and risk management.
• Experience in community-based services and knowledge of clinical governance, HSQF and/or NDIS Practice Standards.
• Proven ability to lead, guide and support multidisciplinary and non-clinical teams.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Demonstrated success driving quality improvement, compliance and client outcomes.
• Critical thinking skills with a proactive approach to risk management and service improvement.
• Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration.
• Current Queensland Driver Licence.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain within one month).
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain all mandatory compliance clearances, including Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening, Child Safety & Personal History Screening, and NDIS Worker Orientation Module.

This is a senior clinical leadership role requiring significant clinical expertise and the ability to apply that knowledge across a range of community services.
Applicants must be able to provide examples demonstrating alignment with the role's key responsibilities, including clinical leadership, governance, risk management, quality improvement and workforce development.
The successful candidate will be able to support non-clinical staff, whilst addressing any knowledge gaps and then be able to provide practical clinical guidance to the organisation to strengthen service delivery and improve client outcomes.

What You'll Get in Return
This permanent full-time position is based in Townsville and offers an hourly rate of $47.19–$68.01 plus Super and access to up to $15,900 in FBT salary packaging benefits.
