Job description

• Support the development, management and traceability of system requirements.
• Conduct systems engineering activities across the full engineering lifecycle.
• Develop Verification & Validation strategies, plans and procedures.
• Define and execute verification activities including analysis, inspection, demonstration and test.
• Support system integration, test readiness reviews and acceptance activities.
• Work closely with software, hardware, mechanical and project engineering teams to ensure requirements are met.
• Identify, investigate and resolve technical issues throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to requirements management, risk assessments and engineering documentation.
• Support customer reviews, technical presentations and engineering governance activities.

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree qualified in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
• Experience working within Defence or other complex engineering environments.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and processes.
• Experience developing or managing requirements using tools such as DOORS, DOORS Next, Jama or similar.
• Experience supporting Verification & Validation, integration or testing activities.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into testable requirements.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Australian Citizenship

• Defence industry experience.
• Experience across the full systems engineering lifecycle.
• Exposure to Systems Engineering standards and V-Model methodologies.
• Experience preparing test plans, verification procedures and validation reports.
• Knowledge of system integration and acceptance testing.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
