We are currently recruiting an experienced Sand Blaster to join a well-established Australian manufacturer on an ongoing temporary basis. This is a hands-on workshop role working within a busy production environment preparing metal components for painting and finishing.
Your new role
• Abrasive blasting of steel and aluminium components
• Surface preparation including removal of rust, scale and existing coatings
• Operating blasting equipment and maintaining blast media levels
• Using grinders, wire brushes and other preparation tools as required
• Inspecting surfaces to ensure quality standards are met prior to coating
• Assisting with general workshop and manufacturing duties
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Following all WHS procedures and company standards
What you'll need to succeed
• Previous experience as a Sand Blaster, Abrasive Blaster or Industrial Surface Preparation Operator
• Experience working within manufacturing, engineering, fabrication or industrial environments
• Ability to use hand and power tools confidently
• Strong understanding of workplace safety requirements
• Reliable and able to work independently or within a team
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling
