Hays Procurement & Contracts is partnering with a leading Tier 1 mining organisation with a significant portfolio of capital and asset projects across Western Australia. Due to continued project investment and growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Projects Commercial Specialist to join a high-performing commercial team supporting the successful delivery of major projects.

Your new role

• Managing end-to-end contract administration and contract performance activities.
• Supporting the development and implementation of commercial and contracting strategies.
• Managing claims, variations, disputes and change management processes.
• Participating in tender evaluations, negotiations and contract award activities.
• Monitoring contractor performance against contractual obligations and KPIs.
• Providing commercial advice and guidance to project managers and project teams.
• Identifying, assessing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks.
• Maintaining commercial governance, reporting and compliance requirements.
• Building strong stakeholder relationships to support project delivery outcomes.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience in commercial, contracts, procurement, quantity surveying or project commercial roles.
• Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management and commercial risk.
• Experience administering construction, engineering or services contracts.
• Demonstrated experience managing claims, variations and contractor performance.
• Exposure to tendering, sourcing and contract negotiation activities.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
• Experience within mining, resources, construction, infrastructure, energy or industrial project environments.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Law or a related discipline.
