With a strong focus on innovation, reliability and continuous improvement, they are seeking an experienced Control Systems Project Lead to support a critical SCADA upgrade program. This Brisbane-based opportunity offers a long-term rolling 12-month contract within a technically complex and collaborative environment.

Your new role

As the Control Systems Project Lead, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of a major SCADA upgrade project while providing technical leadership across control systems engineering activities. Working closely with internal stakeholders, vendors and site-based teams, you will manage project progress, oversee Honeywell and Rockwell control system upgrades, support commissioning activities, and ensure high-quality engineering documentation is produced throughout the project lifecycle.

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong background in Control Systems Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience with Honeywell control systems.
• Demonstrated experience with Rockwell control systems.
• Experience delivering SCADA and control system upgrade projects.
• Commissioning experience within industrial or processing environments.
• Exposure to broader automation and control projects.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• High-level report writing and technical documentation capability.
• Ability to independently develop project plans, reports and engineering documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and technical problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing engineering activities across the full project lifecycle.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead project delivery and maintain momentum across critical upgrade programs.
