Our client is a privately owned Australian business with a long-standing presence in the manufacturing and supply sector. Employing a large workforce across multiple operational sites, they are known for their strong commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement. Due to a parental leave cover requirement, they are seeking an experienced HR Specialist to join their team in Melbourne's south-east.


Your new role

Reporting to the HR Manager and Payroll Manager, you will provide broad HR support across the employee life cycle while partnering with managers and employees across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing end-to-end recruitment and onboarding activities
  • Coordinating training programmes and maintaining compliance records
  • Managing WorkCover claims and Return-to-Work programs
  • Conducting visa checks and supporting employment compliance requirements
  • Maintaining employee records, HR systems and documentation
  • Supporting employee relations and performance management processes
  • Providing HR guidance and support to managers and employees
  • Assisting with HR administration, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Supporting workplace health and safety requirements


What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in a generalist HR position
  • Strong recruitment and onboarding experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing WorkCover and Return-to-Work processes
  • Sound understanding of HR compliance and employment legislation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
