Our client is a leading civil infrastructure contractor delivering road construction, maintenance, and asphalt projects throughout Queensland. With a strong pipeline of ongoing work and a commitment to safety and quality, they are seeking experienced HR Truck Drivers to join their growing team.
Your new role
As an HR Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating heavy vehicles to support road construction, maintenance, and asphalt projects across regional Queensland. This position involves both local and away work, with employees typically working away for up to two weeks at a time.
You will transport materials, equipment, and plant between project locations while also assisting crews with general site duties when required. Travel time is paid from the moment you leave Mackay, and a company vehicle is provided from depot to depot. A daily Living Away From Home Allowance (LAHA) is paid while working away, with accommodation supplied throughout the duration of the project. Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test prior to commencing work. Smoking is not permitted on site and all employees must adhere to the client's strict health, safety, and workplace policies
What you'll need to succeed
- Current HR Driver's Licence
- Current White Card
- Previous experience working on civil, road construction, or asphalt projects
- Strong understanding of safe vehicle operation and site safety requirements
- Ability to assist crews with labouring duties when required
- Reliable and committed to project deadlines
- Ability to work away from home for up to two weeks at a time
- Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screening
- Contactable work references
