Your new role
As the Customer Service Officer, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing professional and compassionate support across phone, email, reception and online channels. You will manage enquiries from initial contact through to resolution, coordinate maintenance requests, support tenancy administration processes, maintain accurate records and work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure positive customer outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing customer enquiries, reception activities and administrative tasks.
Coordinating responsive maintenance requests and liaising with contractors.
Processing system updates, documentation and record keeping.
Supporting rent reviews, invoicing and utility billing processes.
Maintaining accurate customer, tenancy and property information.
Assisting with complaints management and customer feedback processes.
Collaborating with Housing, Assets and Finance teams to ensure timely resolution of enquiries and service requests.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be someone who enjoys administration, values process and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.
You will demonstrate:
Previous administration and customer service experience.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Confidence using multiple IT systems and learning new processes.
A genuine customer focus with empathy, patience and professionalism.
Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgement.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A collaborative approach and willingness to support team members.
Experience within social, community or affordable housing will be highly regarded but is not essential.
