Civil Design Manager

With a strong reputation for technical excellence and long-term client relationships, this organisation is entering an exciting growth phase and is seeking an experienced Civil Design Manager to help lead and expand its civil design capability.
Working within a collaborative environment, you'll play a key role in project delivery, team leadership and business development while contributing to the continued success of the business.
Your new role
As Civil Design Manager, you will take ownership of the civil design function, leading a small team of engineers and drafters while managing the delivery of multiple projects from concept through to completion.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the civil design process across a portfolio of projects
- Coordinating design reviews, clash detection and design updates
- Ensuring design deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring to engineers and drafters
- Managing client relationships and supporting business development activities
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes
- Driving quality outcomes and maintaining high engineering standards across all projects
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Civil Engineering degree
- Strong civil design management experience within a consulting environment
- Proficiency using 12D software
- Demonstrated experience managing design coordination, clash detection and design deliverables
- Proven leadership capability with experience leading engineering and drafting teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Business development experience and the ability to identify new opportunities
- A hands-on and collaborative approach to leadership
- The ability and willingness to work predominantly from the office, with flexibility available when required
