Job description

Your new company

This large, complex public-sector organisation is committed to delivering essential services that support the community and long-term city growth. Joining a high-impact transformation program, you’ll play a key role in shaping how a critical Asset Management function operates into the future.

Your new role

As Change Manager, you will support a workforce redesign initiative within the Asset Management function, working closely with senior leaders to transition the business into a new operating model.

This is a hands-on role where you will drive practical change outcomes, bridging strategy and execution to ensure successful implementation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver workforce and operating model changes
  • Translating organisational structures into clear roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities
  • Developing position descriptions and role documentation
  • Creating responsibility matrices and defining ways of working across teams
  • Facilitating workshops to resolve ambiguity, overlap, and competing stakeholder views
  • Supporting transition planning and embedding of the new operating model
  • Providing pragmatic, delivery-focused change support in a complex environment

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an experienced Change Manager with a strong track record delivering workforce and organisational change initiatives.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience delivering workforce or operating model redesigns
  • Ability to define roles, responsibilities, and ways of working across teams
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across multiple levels
  • Excellent facilitation skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and resolve differing views
  • A practical, outcomes-driven approach with the ability to deliver in complex environments
Desirable:

  • Qualifications in business, HR, organisational psychology, or change management
  • Prosci or similar change certification
  • Experience in asset management, infrastructure, or service delivery environments
  • Exposure to business analysis, role mapping, or transition planning

What you'll get in return

This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-visibility transformation initiative and make a tangible impact within a large organisation.

In return, you will receive:

  • A competitive daily rate
  • Exposure to enterprise-level transformation work
  • A collaborative and purpose-driven team environment
  • A central CBD location with flexible working options
