Stable Hand Workers – Cranbourne/Pakenham We are seeking approximately 20 hardworking and dedicated stable hands to assist with cleaning horse stables and general farm work. About the Role
• Duties include cleaning stables, shoveling hay and manure, feeding horses, and respectful quadbike use.
• Applicants must be comfortable handling horses and working around them in a caring manner.
• Work commences mid/late September 2026 and continues for 9 months until June 2027. Hours & Pay
• Average of 30 hours per week.
• Paid at the casual hourly rate under the Horse and Greyhound Training Award 2020.
• Split shifts: 6am–10am and 1pm–5pm, 7 days per week.
• Flexibility is essential, as stables must be cleaned twice daily in all weather conditions. Requirements
• Physically fit and of sound health (lifting up to 20kg, walking and bending on uneven ground).
• Respectful and caring attitude toward horses.
• Current driver’s license and own vehicle (desirable).
• Previous horse-handling experience (desirable). Important Notes
• This is physically demanding work involving hay bales, fence posts, buckets, and outdoor conditions.
