We are currently seeking an experienced Side Loader Driver to join the Waste Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a side-loading waste collection vehicle, completing scheduled collection runs and ensuring a high standard of service delivery to residents. Key Responsibilities

Operate a side loader waste collection vehicle across allocated routes

Collect general waste, recycling and green waste in line with set schedules

Ensure bins are handled correctly and returned safely after collection

Clean up any spills or debris in the immediate collection area

Complete pre-start checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness and condition

Adhere to all road laws, council policies and OH&S procedures

Use onboard systems (GPS/reporting) to track and complete runs

Provide a professional and courteous service to the public

What you'll need to succeed

Valid HR (Heavy Rigid) licence - essential

Demonstrated experience operating a side loader waste truck

Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and safe work practices

Ability to work independently while following schedules and instructions

Good communication and customer service skills

Physically fit and comfortable with manual tasks where required
