We have partnered with a Tier 1 national contractor who has been awarded the full Balance of Plant scope for a Major Wind Farm 200km north of Adelaide. With construction ramping up, we are looking for a site-based Safety Advisor to join the owner's team on a permanent, long-term basis.
Early mobilisation is already underway. If you are travelling in, full on-site camp accommodation is provided. If you are a local living within a 30-40 minute radius of the site, you have the option to commute daily and go home each night.
What's on Offer
Project: Balance of Plant scope for a major 256MW utility-scale wind farm
Client: Tier 1 National Infrastructure Contractor
Location: Georgetown, SA (Mid North region / 2 hours from Adelaide)
Roster: 2/1 roster (Tuesday in / Wednesday out) or 5:2 DIDO for regional locals
Package: $118-123k base + Super + 20% site uplift + laptop, phone & site vehicle access
What you'll be doing
Reporting directly to the on-site HSE Manager, you will be on the ground driving a proactive safety culture across a large project footprint.
Your daily focus will include:
Coaching operational teams, reviewing SWMS, issuing Authority to Work Permits (ATWPs) and coordinating site inductions and pre-starts
Experience working on civil consutruction sites with heavy machinery
An understanding of environmental factors on site including dust, waterways, local flora & fauna
Spending time in the field auditing high-risk work processes, site documentation and equipment
Ensuring all incidents and near-misses are accurately recorded in Lucidity and properly closed out
Conducting scheduled internal HSE audits and helping the project team prepare for third-party IMS reviews
What you'll need
We need practical, collaborative advisors who can partner with operational teams but also hold their own when dealing with contractors and project stakeholders.
Minimum 2-5 years in a dedicated HSE practitioner role.
Experience on site-based civil, construction, or major electrical/renewables projects is highly regarded
Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety is essential
Valid C-Class driver's license is required
Strong communication skills and a solid understanding of risk registers and on-site compliance
Experience in ICAM incident investigation training or a Return to Work Coordinator certificate will move you to the front of the queue
