This HSEQ Officer opportunity offers the chance to play a key role in supporting the organisation's health, safety, environmental and quality objectives across the business. In this role, you will:

Assist in the management and continuous improvement of the company's HSEQ systems to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards and business requirements. Undertake workplace inspections, audits and compliance reviews in accordance with internal auditing schedules. Provide practical health, safety and environmental advice to employees, supervisors and managers across operational sites. Assist with incident investigations, reporting processes and the identification of corrective actions and continuous improvement opportunities. Maintain accurate HSEQ records, statistics, reports and registers across the business. Support work-related injury management and return-to-work processes in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Assist with the coordination and administration of workplace drug and alcohol testing programs. Conduct hazard identification activities and risk assessments, ensuring appropriate controls are implemented. Support the maintenance and continual improvement of the organisation's Quality Management System and associated document control processes. Assist with environmental management initiatives, reporting requirements and compliance activities. Partner with HR and operational teams to support employee inductions, verification of competency (VOC) programs and training compliance. Deliver HSEQ training, toolbox talks and awareness sessions across the business as required. Assist with the development, review and implementation of policies, procedures, safe work practices and project documentation. Participate in the review and development of documentation for new and existing projects.

You will play an important role in supporting compliance, improving operational processes and helping to maintain a strong safety and quality culture throughout the organisation. What you'll need to succeed
This role is suited to a motivated HSEQ professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

We're looking for someone who offers:

Experience working within health, safety, environment and quality systems in an operational or heavy industry environment. Knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment and practical risk management methodologies. Experience assisting with workplace audits, investigations and compliance activities. Understanding of relevant Australian HSEQ legislation, standards and regulatory requirements. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Well-developed organisational, planning and time management skills. Ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively across multiple departments. A proactive approach and the ability to adapt to changing operational priorities.
