Project Manager - Consultant

Your new company

Approaching 10 years' trading, past the startup phase and successfully delivered projects across a range of sectors, they are seeking to bring on an experienced environmental professional with a background in contaminated land. Leading and coordinating projects, with less time on site, in an operational role, they are open to environmental consultants stepping up into the role, paying between $100k - $145k + super dependent on experience.

Your new role

  • Manage contaminated land assessment, remediation, and validation projects.

  • Prepare project scopes, budgets, programmes, and resource plans.

  • Coordinate project activities and monitor progress against deliverables.

  • Manage project risks, issues, and stakeholder expectations.

  • Prepare and review technical reports and project documentation.

  • Liaise with clients, contractors, regulators, and internal stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor project financial performance, including budgets and forecasting, support proposal preparation and tender submissions.

  • Provide guidance and technical support to junior team members.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline.

  • 5+ years' experience in environmental or contaminated land consulting.

  • Demonstrated project management experience, including budget and programme responsibility.

  • Strong understanding of NSW environmental regulations and contaminated land frameworks.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, report writing, and communication skills.
