Homes NSW leads work to deliver more social and affordable housing, end the cycle of homelessness, and deliver quality public housing to our 262,000 tenants across NSW.

Your new role
As a Project Engineer, you will support the delivery of complex engineering upgrade projects across a diverse residential asset portfolio. Working closely with senior engineers and project teams, you will contribute technical expertise, coordinate project activities and help ensure upgrades are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing technical engineering advice (civil, structural or hydraulics) on new and existing assets
  • Managing engineering elements of upgrade projects from concept through to completion
  • Reviewing designs, reports and specifications, and providing recommendations
  • Coordinating consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders across projects
  • Identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Supporting inspection programmes and professional services delivery
  • Tracking project progress, reporting on performance and maintaining accurate records
  • Contributing to continuous improvement by sharing best practice and lessons learnt
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience working within a residential property or asset environment
  • Strong project management capability across complex engineering works
  • Ability to analyse technical issues and provide practical, evidence-based solutions
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Sound understanding of risk management, compliance and engineering standards
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
