Process Manager

Job description

Your new company

Join a leading manufacturer of premium steel products for outdoor living spaces, servicing residential, commercial, and industrial customers across Australia. They pride themselves on quality craftsmanship, operational excellence, and delivering outstanding customer outcomes.

Your new role

This manufacturer is seeking a highly organised and hands-on Process Manager to oversee and optimise the end-to-end operational processes within our manufacturing facility in Bendigo.

  • Take full ownership of the project delivery life cycle, ensuring a seamless transition from sales handover through to final construction, completion, and customer handover.
  • Lead and coordinate all post-sale delivery functions, including permit approvals, customer liaison, site surveys, job readiness, material management, concrete works, construction activities, and field operations.
  • Ensure all projects are fully prepared and build-ready before committing internal crews, contractors, builders, or concreters to site.
  • Plan and manage construction capacity across internal teams, subcontractors, contract builders, and concreting partners to maximise productivity and on-time delivery.
  • Facilitate weekly Work-in-Progress (WIP) reviews, scheduling meetings, and cross-functional planning sessions to identify and resolve delivery constraints and bottlenecks.
  • Drive accountability across field supervisors, project coordinators, and support teams for quality, productivity, communication standards, issue resolution, and project outcomes.
  • Monitor and minimise margin erosion by proactively addressing rework, material shortages, handover failures, uncontrolled variations, downtime, scheduling inefficiencies, and contractor performance issues.
  • Ensure consistent, professional customer communication throughout the delivery process, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and trust.
  • Establish and maintain robust operational controls covering safety compliance, quality assurance, site documentation, progress photography, job packs, practical completion records, and handover documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement process enhancements that improve efficiency, project outcomes, profitability, and customer experience.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong operations and scheduling capability (construction experience not a necessity)
  • Ability to manage coordinators, field leaders, contractors and materials as one integrated system.
  • Commercial discipline around labour, rework, variations and job costing
  • Decisive leadership; able to hold people accountable without creating chaos.
  • Good customer escalation judgement and practical problem-solving ability.

What you'll get in return

  • Key leadership role with genuine ownership and influence.
  • Opportunity to build and improve operational systems.
  • Work with a growing and ambitious business.
  • Competitive salary package.
  • Long-term career growth opportunities.
  • Be the person who ensures every project gets delivered the right way, every time.
