Job description

Our client is a well-established industrial business with both workshop and office-based operations based North of the River.

They are currently seeking a proactive and hands-on HR Business Partner for three days per week to support the day-to-day HR operations across the business.

Reporting into a Global HR Lead, you will play a key role in managing the end-to-end employee lifecycle from recruitment, onboarding, managing employment documentation, and employee support while ensuring compliance with relevant Modern Awards and employment legislation.

Duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Coordinate low volume end-to-end recruitment activities, including advertising, screening and interview scheduling
  • Prepare employment contracts, variations and HR documentation
  • Provide accurate interpretation of Modern Awards and employment conditions
  • Manage onboarding and employee records through Workday
  • Provision of day-to-day HR advice
  • Liaise closely with payroll to ensure employee data and employment changes are processed correctly
  • Maintain HR compliance, policies and personnel records
It is essential that you can demonstrate previous experience in a hands-on HR business partnering role with a strong working knowledge of the Fair Work Act, including Modern Award interpretation and employment contracts, recruitment support and maintenance of HRIS systems. You must be able to pick up systems and processes quickly and efficiently, whilst maintaining attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks. A preference would be given to those who have worked in a smaller organisation within a standalone HR capacity. Due to location, it is a requirement for you to have your own vehicle.

This position requires an immediate start and will be for an initial part-time three-month contract.
