Our State Government client is seeking an administration professional who can provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support while managing competing priorities and maintaining confidentiality. The position also involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders, assisting with scheduling and appointment coordination, maintaining confidential information, and ensuring administrative processes are completed accurately and efficiently. This opportunity would suit a proactive and highly organised administrator who can manage competing priorities, provide exceptional customer service, and contribute positively to a collaborative healthcare-focused team.
Your new role
Provide administrative and secretarial support to senior staff and multidisciplinary teams.
Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and take accurate meeting minutes.
Manage incoming correspondence, emails and telephone enquiries.
Prepare routine documentation, reports and correspondence.
Maintain records, databases and filing systems.
Coordinate rosters and assist with scheduling activities.
Support clinic administration, including appointment bookings and patient-related documentation.
Process and maintain medical records and other confidential information.
Assist with invoicing and general administrative functions.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in an Administrative Assistant, Administration Officer, Medical Secretary or similar role.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Outlook and Excel.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A professional and confidential approach to handling information.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Experience in using medical terminology and healthcare administration systems will be highly regarded.
Healthcare, hospital, clinic or WA Health experience is desirable but not essential.
