Supporting a large and diverse organisation, you will work closely with senior stakeholders to provide trusted financial advice, lead a finance team, and contribute to major programmes and investment decisions. Your New Role
As a Manager Finance Business Partner, you will provide leadership, financial management expertise and strategic advice across a broad portfolio. You will build strong relationships with stakeholders, support decision-making through high-quality financial insights, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a high-performing finance team
- Delivering budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and analysis
- Providing strategic financial advice to senior stakeholders
- Supporting complex projects and investment initiatives
- Building trusted relationships across a diverse stakeholder group
- Preparing financial reports, written recommendations and business cases
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies
- Managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
What You'll Need to Succeed
You will have established experience within accounting, finance or commercial management and be known for your ability to influence, collaborate and deliver outcomes.
You will ideally possess:
- Strong people leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial management and analysis
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
- A proactive approach with sound judgement and a results-focused mindset
- The ability to build effective relationships and influence outcomes
- Resilience and the ability to thrive in a complex environment
Desirable qualifications and experience include:
- CPA or CA qualification (completed or working towards)
- Experience within government, defence, infrastructure or other complex organisations
- Experience with SAP and/or TM1 (Cognos)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting skills
- Strong commercial and business acumen
Security Clearance Requirement
Applicants must hold a current Baseline Security Clearance or NV1 Security Clearance.
