A well-established and growing electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Leading Hand Electrician to join their team on a permanent basis. Operating across the commercial construction, fit-out, healthcare and industrial sectors, this business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality electrical, communications and technology solutions throughout Sydney.

Your new role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will oversee electrical installations across a range of commercial construction and fit-out projects while leading and mentoring junior electricians and apprentices. This is a
hands-on position offering variety, autonomy and long-term career development within a supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading electrical installation works on commercial projects
  • Supervising and mentoring electricians, apprentices and trade assistants
  • Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
  • Fault finding, testing and commissioning electrical systems
  • Coordinating with clients, subcontractors and site personnel
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard
  • Maintaining compliance with Australian Standards and site requirements
What you'll need to succeed
  • NSW Electrical Licence
  • Minimum 2 years' post-apprenticeship experience
  • Previous Leading Hand or senior electrician experience
  • Strong knowledge of AS3000 and current electrical standards
  • Current driver's licence and ACMA licence
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • Experience in commercial construction, fit-outs or healthcare environments is highly regarded
