Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturer specialising in expanded polystyrene (EPS) products used across packaging, construction, and industrial applications. With a strong reputation in the market and continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Inventory Controller/Planner to join their team. Your new role
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimising inventory across raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials through the business-from forecasting imported raw material requirements, through to supporting production scheduling and maintaining inventory accuracy.

You will work closely with production, customer service, dispatch, sales, and finance teams to improve processes, enhance inventory visibility, and support operational efficiency.

Key duties will include:

Forecasting raw material requirements and managing stock levels Coordinating procurement of imported materials with suppliers and freight partners Maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts and stocktakes Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies Supporting production planning and scheduling activities Improving inventory systems, processes, and reporting Collaborating across departments to ensure on-time order fulfilment and efficient stock flow

What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience in inventory control, supply chain, or production planning within a manufacturing environment Experience managing imported/raw materials and supplier coordination is highly regarded Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams Experience using ERP or inventory systems (Pronto highly regarded) Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
