Your new company

A national company requires a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic for an immediate start for a long-term role leading to a permanent role, paying between $45-$50ph + penalties/Super and overtime available.

Your new role

Your new role as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic will include, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty vehicles, including buses, trucks etc. Key responsibilities will include, performing routine services, diagnosing and repairing complex issues in engines, transmissions, and braking systems, conducting roadworthy inspections.

• Diagnosis and troubleshooting:
• Test drive vehicles to locate and identify faults, and use diagnostic tools and computers to diagnose problems.
• Repairs and maintenance:
  • Perform routine maintenance and complete repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, steering, and braking systems.
  • Dismantle, remove, overhaul, and reassemble engine assemblies and other components.
  • Repair or replace worn or defective parts.
  • Conduct safety and roadworthy inspections.
• Specialised systems: Service and repair other systems such as cooling systems, air-conditioning, and suspension systems.

What you'll need to succeed

Along with previous experience, you will need a minimum of a Cert III in Heavy vehicle Mechanics.

What you'll get in return

You will receive between $55ph + super, with Saturday work and overtime available.
