Annual Salary: A$ 85,000 + Superannuation

Introduction: Choice The Discount Store is seeking a commercially minded Business Analyst to support data-driven decision-making across our growing retail operations. The role will focus on analysing sales performance, inventory trends, customer behaviour, and operational efficiencies to provide actionable insights that improve profitability and support strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical capability with excellent stakeholder communication skills and a practical understanding of the retail environment to help drive continuous business improvement.

Duties:
• Analyse sales, product, and customer data to identify trends, opportunities, and performance gaps.
• Develop and present reports and insights to support data-driven decision-making by senior management.
• Evaluate campaign performance, pricing, and promotional effectiveness using data-driven insights.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning through data analysis.
• Assess potential store locations and regional opportunities using data insights.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather business requirements and support the implementation of technology-based business solutions.
• Act as a central reference point for digital insights, providing guidance and support for data-driven business and system-related decision-making processes.
• Identify and analyse digital trends and operational issues, recommending data-driven improvements to refine audience targeting and improve user engagement.

Skills and Experience:
• Minimum master’s degree in IT or related field
• A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is mandatory and preferably in the retail industry
• In-depth experience in analytical software, Oracle NetSuite, and Erply retail software
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
• Strong knowledge of research methodologies, including market research, competitor analysis, and data-driven business evaluation
• Ability to translate data into actionable business insights
• Experience with various social media platforms, campaign management, and analysing platform insights will be considered an advantage.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
