Your new role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Finance Officer to join a collaborative and high-performing finance team. Working within the Grants Team, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records while supporting a diverse range of stakeholders across the organisation. Your responsibilities will include preparing journals, processing financial transactions and invoices, maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. You will analyse financial data, identify and investigate discrepancies, and ensure all reporting and documentation complies with relevant policies, procedures, contractual obligations, and legislative requirements. This role also involves providing responsive financial support and advice to internal stakeholders, assisting with grant and contract administration, and contributing to ongoing process improvements that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline. Previous experience in a finance, accounts, or administration-based role. Strong analytical skills with the ability to review, interpret, and report on financial information. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records. Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Strong customer service skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Well-developed problem-solving skills and the ability to identify opportunities for process improvements. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience using accounting or finance systems. Previous experience working with grants, contracts, project funding, or acquittals will be highly regarded.
