Your new company A well-established government organisation is seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join their finance team on a temporary assignment. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative environment while contributing to essential public sector services. Your new role

Processing daily bank reconciliations and banking transactions. Allocating and receipting incoming payments. Raising and managing sundry debtor invoices. Follow up outstanding payments Assist with month-end close activities, including journals, accruals and reconciliations. Provide support with BAS, FBT and other statutory reporting requirements. Support the broader finance team with general accounting and administrative duties.

What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience in a Finance Officer, Accounts Receivable or Assistant Accountant role. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Exposure to public sector accounting is highly regarded
