Our client is a market-leading provider of specialist technology and equipment solutions, servicing customers across a range of industries throughout Sydney and NSW. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to join their high-performing service team.
This role is ideal for candidates with an electronics background and strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Applications are encouraged from technicians who have worked on ATMs, poker machines, return and earn machines, commercial printers, vending machines, kiosk systems, gaming equipment, security systems, or similar electro-mechanical equipment.
Your new role
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, servicing and repair of specialised equipment at customer sites across Melbourne.
Key responsibilities include:
Diagnosing and resolving electrical, electronic and mechanical faults.
Conducting preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
Installing, commissioning and configuring new equipment.
Replacing and repairing electronic components, sensors, motors and control systems.
Performing software updates, calibrations and system testing.
Responding to service breakdowns and providing prompt technical support.
Maintaining accurate service records and completing reports using a computer-based management system.
Managing spare parts inventory and ensuring company equipment is maintained.
Building strong relationships with customers and providing exceptional service.
Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience as a Field Service Technician, Service Engineer, Maintenance Technician or similar role.
Strong electronics knowledge with excellent fault-finding abilities.
Good electrical and mechanical aptitude.
Experience working on ATMs, gaming machines, return and earn equipment, commercial printers, vending machines or other electro-mechanical equipment is highly desirable.
Strong computer skills and the ability to complete detailed service reports.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work autonomously and manage your own schedule.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Current Australian Driver's Licence.
Technical trade qualification, electronics certificate or equivalent experience highly regarded.
