Based at the main precinct in north-western Sydney, with added responsibility over several campuses, you will lead the development and implementation of the Strategic Asset Management Framework and Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP).
across the major asset classes including buildings, campus infrastructure, research infrastructure, IT, security, AV and other operational assets. While an implementation roadmap has already been developed, you will be responsible for refining the framework where required and driving its implementation across the organisation. Working across Property & Commercial, IT, Research, Finance and other business areas, you will establish a consistent approach to asset management, governance and life cycle planning, embedding best practice across the organisation.
Your remit will include:
- Develop, refine and coordinate delivery of the Asset Management Roadmap across multiple business units, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement to establish consistent asset management practices.
- Review current asset management processes and identify opportunities to improve governance, planning and decision-making.
- Develop and implement enterprise asset management policies, standards, procedures and governance frameworks.
- Assist business units to improve life cycle planning, asset information and investment prioritisation.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to build capability and support organisational change.
- Promote continuous improvement and practical, sustainable asset management practices across the organisation.
You will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Asset Management, Construction, Property etc or equivalent industry experience
- Experience coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders and business units
- Sound understanding of asset life cycle planning, governance and principles
Experience preparing business cases, governance papers, reports and implementation plans
You will have thorough practical experience within a large, complex organisation such as a hospital, university, transport authority or similar. You will possess outstanding communication skills along with first-rate stakeholder engagement skills as the role will involve working across a range of business areas to build alignment and successfully implement the framework.
The role will be an agency contract, initially for 12 months, with the potential for an extension and paying very good rates of $800 – 1,000/day + Super.
