Facility Manager

Location: Brisbane, Queensland Employment Type: Full-Time

$72,000 to $94,000 per annum plus Superannuation

We are seeking a Facility Manager to assist with the coordination and administration of commercial agreements and project-related documentation.

The Facility Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of commercial cleaning services across a portfolio of client sites, ensuring contractual obligations are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate and oversee cleaning operations across multiple commercial, industrial and government client sites.
• Develop operational plans, staffing schedules and site allocations to ensure services are delivered efficiently and in accordance with client requirements.
• Lead, supervise and support site supervisors and cleaning personnel, including recruitment, induction, training, performance management and ongoing development.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients by conducting regular meetings, responding to service requests and proactively resolving operational issues.
• Carry out routine site inspections to assess service quality, identify areas requiring improvement and implement corrective action where necessary.
• Ensure sufficient labour, equipment and cleaning consumables are available to meet operational requirements and coordinate procurement where required.
• Monitor financial performance of service contracts, including labour costs, material usage and operational expenditure, and recommend measures to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Coordinate the mobilisation of new cleaning contracts, including workforce planning, equipment deployment and implementation of site-specific procedures.
• Develop and implement operational procedures that promote consistent service delivery across all managed sites.
• Ensure all cleaning activities are conducted in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements, environmental standards and company policies.
• Investigate client concerns, workplace incidents and service failures, and implement preventative measures to minimise recurrence.
• Prepare operational reports, service performance reviews and management recommendations to support business planning and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with senior management to identify opportunities for business growth, contract expansion and improved service delivery.

Requirements:

Applicants should demonstrate:

• A bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Business, Management, Facilities Management or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience in a supervisory or management role within the commercial cleaning or facilities services sector.
• Proven experience managing multiple commercial cleaning contracts or facilities service operations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage supervisors and large operational teams across different locations.
• Experience developing staff rosters, allocating resources and managing workforce performance.
• Sound commercial awareness with experience monitoring budgets, labour costs and contract profitability.
• Excellent client relationship management and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing operational demands.
• Practical knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements, risk management and quality assurance within a commercial cleaning environment.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and equipment maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to respond effectively to operational issues and client requests.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational management software.
• A current Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly between client sites.
• Language skills - English
