Our client is a leading specialist within the mission-critical infrastructure sector, delivering complex data centre projects across Australia. Due to continued project growth, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to join the team and play a key role in the successful delivery of a major data centre project.
Your new role
As the Electrical Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on schedule and to the highest quality standards.
You will coordinate subcontractors, manage site activities, drive programme outcomes and maintain strong safety compliance throughout all phases of construction.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing and coordinating electrical works across a large-scale data centre project.
Leading daily pre-start meetings, toolbox talks and site inductions.
Ensuring compliance with all HSE policies, procedures and site requirements.
Coordinating subcontractors, labour resources and project deliveries.
Monitoring programme milestones and ensuring works are completed in line with project schedules.
Managing site logistics and ensuring efficient workflow across multiple trades.
Maintaining high-quality quality construction and adherence to project specifications.
Working closely with project teams, consultants and key stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate:
Proven experience working as a Site Manager within the construction industry.
Previous experience delivering data centre construction projects.
Strong electrical background, ideally supported by an Electrical Licence.
Knowledge of electrical systems and Schneider Electric products would be highly advantageous.
Sound understanding of construction safety requirements, including inductions, pre-starts, toolbox talks and site compliance.
Excellent coordination and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
Strong leadership and communication abilities.
A current driving licence and reliable transport.
The ability to work extended hours when required (approximately 10-hour days).
A proactive attitude, strong attention to detail and commitment to team success.
