Your new role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate to join a highly regarded Insurance team in Sydney. Working alongside experienced insurance litigators, you will advise on a broad range of defendant insurance matters, with a particular focus on:
  • Public liability claims
  • Personal injury disputes
  • Property damage matters
  • Complex liability claims
  • Historical abuse and institutional liability matters
You will manage your own files while working closely with senior practitioners and key insurer clients. The role offers a high level of responsibility, direct client contact and genuine opportunities to further develop your technical expertise and leadership capabilities.
This position would suit an experienced insurance lawyer looking to join a nationally recognised practice with a strong pipeline of quality work and long-term career progression opportunities.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong experience in defendant insurance litigation
  • Particular expertise in liability, casualty or personal injury matters
  • The ability to autonomously manage a file load from inception through to resolution
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills
  • Strong client relationship management abilities
  • A commercial and solutions-focused approach to litigation
  • The ability to collaborate effectively within a high-performing team environment
  • A desire to mentor junior lawyers and contribute to the continued success of the practice
