About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Cost Specialist to support a portfolio of studies and project execution activities within a major asset projects environment. This role is responsible for providing project controls and cost management expertise across the full project lifecycle, partnering closely with project teams to drive performance, support decision-making, and deliver accurate, timely project reporting.

The position offers flexible working arrangements:

• 3 days per week in the office
• 2 days per week working from home
• One office day must be either Monday or Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide cost management and project controls support across studies and project execution phases.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and performance metrics.
• Integrate cost, schedule, and risk information to provide comprehensive project performance tracking and forecasting.
• Identify cost trends, risks, opportunities, and key drivers impacting project outcomes.
• Support contingency management and project performance measurement activities.
• Deliver clear and insightful commercial analysis to support project and portfolio decision-making.
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective cost management practices.
• Prepare and present project performance reports and narratives to a variety of stakeholders, including senior leadership.

What you'll need to succeed:

• Experience integrating cost, schedule, and risk data to support project performance management and forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of project controls systems, tools, and methodologies across both study and execution phases.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis.
• Ability to translate financial data into practical commercial insights that support business outcomes.
• Adaptable and effective in fast-paced, changing project environments.
• Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and manage challenging conversations constructively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Based in Western Australia.
