Our client is seeking an experienced Contract Support Officer to join their team on an initial 6-month temporary contract with possible extension.

Your new role

  • Create and administer Purchase Orders and Goods Received Advices within the organisation’s financial management system.

  • Maintain purchasing information, order forms, templates, and resources on the procurement intranet/website.

  • Support contract administration activities, including preparing and monitoring correspondence related to contract extensions, variations, and recalls.

  • Act as the first point of contact for all telephone and email enquiries to the procurement branch.

  • Provide contract management support across the assigned contract portfolio.

  • Report health and safety hazards, near misses, and incidents.

  • Actively contribute to workplace safety, risk management, and continuous improvement.

  • Undertake other duties as required.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience using purchasing or procurement systems, including raising purchase orders and receipting goods/services.

  • Understanding of WA public sector procurement requirements.

  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Good written communication skills, including the ability to prepare high‑quality letters, internal communications, and procedural documents.

  • Effective time management and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to use initiative and respond to customer and business needs.

  • Ability to interpret and work with organisational policies, processes, and governance frameworks.
