This respected professional services organisation is seeking a Communications Coordinator to provide short-term support during a planned leave period. Operating from modern offices in Melbourne CBD, the organisation offers a collaborative environment where communications plays an important role in supporting stakeholders across the business. The communications function is small, highly valued and works closely with leaders and subject-matter experts to deliver clear, engaging and professional communications outcomes.
Your new role
This six-week temporary assignment offers the opportunity to step into a varied communications position supporting both internal and external communications activities. Following a structured handover period, you will coordinate day-to-day communications tasks and help ensure key business activities continue to run smoothly during staff leave periods.
You will be responsible for updating and maintaining digital content, supporting website and intranet updates, assisting with newsletter production, coordinating communication activities, preparing and formatting presentations and business documents, and working with stakeholders across the organisation to gather information and deliver communications on time. The role will suit someone who enjoys a broad communications remit and is confident working independently.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in communications, marketing, digital content or stakeholder engagement
- Strong written communication and editing skills
- Experience using SharePoint and Microsoft Office 365
- Advanced PowerPoint formatting and presentation skills
- Confidence managing website, intranet or digital content updates
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Experience working with internal stakeholders across a business
- Ability to work autonomously and use initiative
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one immediately
