Job Opportunity: Experienced Asian Cuisine Chef Wanted
Are you a passionate and experienced chef with a strong background in Asian cuisine? We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Chef to join our busy kitchen team and help deliver authentic, high-quality Asian dishes in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
About the Role As our Asian Cuisine Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of authentic Asian dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service, uphold food safety standards, and contribute to menu development where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook authentic Asian cuisine to a consistently high standard. Ensure all dishes are presented with quality, consistency, and attention to detail. Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment. Work efficiently during busy service periods while supporting the wider kitchen team. Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising food waste. Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations. Contribute ideas for seasonal specials and menu improvements while maintaining authentic flavours and techniques. Train and support junior kitchen staff where required.
Requirements Proven experience as a Chef specialising in Asian cuisine (experience with Chinese, Thai, Indian or other Asian cuisines is highly regarded).
Strong knowledge of traditional Asian cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavour profiles. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced commercial kitchen. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Certificate IV (or equivalent qualification) in Commercial Cookery.
