We are seeking an APS6/EL1 Procurement & Logistics Officer to join a high-performing government team responsible for supporting critical technical security capabilities. Working within a close-knit and highly professional environment, you will play a key role in delivering end-to-end procurement, contract management, logistics coordination, asset management and operational support functions that enable important government outcomes both domestically and internationally.

Your new role

This role offers a diverse and rewarding workload, combining procurement, stakeholder engagement, project coordination, logistics planning, asset management, and operational support within a fast-paced and secure environment.

  • Managing end-to-end procurement and contract management activities in line with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs).
  • Coordinating logistics, travel, deployments, and operational activities for specialist teams.
  • Maintaining asset registers, conducting stocktakes, and overseeing asset lifecycle management.
  • Supporting budget management, forecasting, and financial governance processes.
  • Preparing procurement, project, and financial documentation for governance and decision-making.
  • Managing equipment, inventory, and supplier relationships across complex procurement and logistics activities.
  • Identifying and mitigating procurement, supply chain, and operational risks.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external partners to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
  • Contributing to process improvements, operational planning, and service delivery enhancements.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end procurement and contract management outcomes within government or a regulated environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs).

  • Experience using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems.

  • Well-developed stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience identifying and managing risks across procurement, logistics, or operational activities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and customer service.

    What you'll get in return

Join a unique national security-focused environment where you'll play a pivotal role across procurement, logistics, asset management, and operational delivery. Working alongside government and industry stakeholders, you'll contribute to critical programs while enjoying a collaborative team culture and long-term contract potential. A current NV2 Security Clearance is essential. If you're an experienced APS procurement professional seeking a varied and impactful role, we want to hear from you.
