APS3 Client Service Officer

A customer service and administration role with a well-known Australian organisation. Your new company Hays Business Support are currently seeking an APS3 Client Service Officer for a Federal Government agency that delivers specialised mental health and wellbeing services to veterans and their families. This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to improving the lives of those who have served, while working within a supportive and collaborative team environment. The role will be full-time, office-based with flexible service delivery options, and offered as an initial 6-month temporary contract. Your new role
As an APS3 Client Service Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of Medical and Allied Health Services to veterans and other stakeholders. Working as part of a busy team, you will provide a high level of administrative and customer service support while ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures and operational guidelines.

Your responsibilities will include responding to enquiries through telephone queues, providing information to clients and stakeholders, processing treatment requests, and undertaking a range of administrative functions within delegated authority levels. You will prepare routine correspondence, maintain accurate records, enter client and service data, assess eligibility for treatment, and refer complex matters for further assessment when required.

You will also liaise with internal staff and external providers to support service delivery outcomes, contribute to reporting activities, manage workload priorities, and identify opportunities to improve work practices and processes. What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in administration and customer service within a high-volume environment. In addition, you will be able to:

Provide professional and responsive customer service via telephone and email channels Process requests and manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail Prepare routine correspondence and maintain confidential records Enter and manage data across multiple systems Interpret policies, procedures and operational guidelines to support decision-making Work collaboratively within a team environment to achieve business outcomes Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills

Previous experience within a government, health, veterans' services or customer service environment will be highly regarded.
