About the Role
We are seeking an Accounts Officer to support our in‑house Accountant across Accounts Payable, reconciliations and general administration. This is a 50/50 mixed role combining accounting support and admin duties.
This is an easy‑to‑use systems environment with strong automation already in place. The role is well suited to someone who enjoys structure, accuracy and being part of a relaxed, stable team. Training can be provided for the right person.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable processing (pay run twice weekly)
  • Managing approximately 40 suppliers per pay run (volume varies week to week)
  • Reviewing and processing auto‑generated invoices (no manual data entry)
  • Ensuring correct costings and GST treatment
  • Supplier account reconciliations
  • Data entry and transaction support as required
  • Assisting the Accountant with month‑end support tasks
  • Using Xero and QuickBooks for daily accounting tasks
  • Working with HubDocs for automated document capture
  • Purchase order processing and administration
  • General office administration support
  • Maintaining accurate financial and supplier records
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders regarding invoices and queries

About You

  • Experience in an Accounts Officer or Accounts Administrator role
  • Comfortable working with Xero and/or QuickBooks (or willing to be trained)
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly around GST and cost allocations
  • Organised, reliable and consistent
  • Confident working with automated systems and processes
  • Enjoys a supportive, straightforward work environment
  • Happy to work on‑site and be part of a close‑knit team

Culture & Environment
  • Easy‑going, down‑to‑earth workplace
  • Stable team with excellent tenure (previous incumbent was in the role for 10 years)
  • Supportive Accountant who enjoys training and knowledge‑sharing
