Workforce Analyst

Job description

Your new company

Are you passionate about turning workforce data into meaningful insights that influence organisational strategy? We're seeking an experienced Senior Workforce Analyst to join a high-performing team responsible for shaping workforce decisions through analytics, reporting, and evidence-based insights.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of people, data, and strategy, helping leaders understand workforce trends, identify future challenges, and make informed decisions that strengthen organisational capability.

Your new role

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Interpreting workforce data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that support strategic people initiatives.
  • Developing reports, dashboards, and visualisations that provide meaningful workforce insights to leaders and decision-makers.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate information needs into practical reporting solutions.
  • Supporting workforce planning and organisational change initiatives through accurate workforce and establishment analysis.
  • Maintaining the quality, accuracy, and integrity of workforce information through ongoing review and data governance activities.
  • Contributing to the evolution of workforce analytics through the development of new metrics, insights, and reporting approaches.
  • Sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues to continuously improve systems, processes, and service delivery outcomes.

What you'll need to succeed

You'll be a data-driven professional with the ability to balance technical capability with strong stakeholder engagement skills.

You enjoy solving complex problems, can confidently interpret large datasets, and are able to communicate findings in a way that influences decision-making.

You'll ideally bring:
  • Experience working with workforce, HR, payroll, or organisational data in a large and complex environment.
  • Advanced skills in Power BI, SQL, Excel, and other reporting or analytics platforms.
  • Experience developing dashboards, reports, and analytical products for diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to translate complex information into clear recommendations.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Exposure to government workforce reporting or public sector environments will be highly regarded.

What you'll get in return

This role offers the opportunity to influence workforce strategy at an organisational level while working with modern analytics tools and methodologies. You'll join a collaborative team focused on continuous improvement, innovation, and delivering data-driven workforce solutions that make a real impact.
