Gym and Fitness (Australian Fitness Supplies Pty Ltd) is searching for a talented and hands-on Video Producer to join our team and create high-quality video across our products, brands, customers and community.
This is an end-to-end production role for someone who is equally comfortable developing an idea, getting behind the camera, directing a shoot and bringing the final piece together through editing.
You’ll work across commercial, product, promotional, training, social and digital content, partnering closely with our Marketing, Product, Sales and Customer Experience teams to turn ideas and briefs into engaging, professional and on-brand video.
About Us:
Gym and Fitness is part of The AFS Group, an Australian health and wellness business focused on our purpose: Improve Lives through Fitness and Wellness.

With a broad portfolio of products and brands, there is always something new to bring to life - from product demonstrations and tutorials to customer stories, athlete features, campaigns and training content.
The Role:
As our Video Producer, you’ll manage video production from concept through to final delivery. You’ll be involved across the full production process, including creative development, pre-production, filming, directing, editing and post-production. You’ll work across a variety of environments, from our Gold Coast Experience Centre and office to customer locations and major events and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop creative concepts, treatments, scripts, storyboards and shot lists for product demonstrations, promotional campaigns, training materials, social and digital content.
Manage video-production projects from initial briefing through filming, post-production and final delivery, ensuring quality, budget and deadline requirements are met.
Assess and select suitable filming locations, sets, props, presenters, talent, equipment and other production requirements.
Plan and coordinate production schedules, filming arrangements, equipment, locations and participating staff or talent.
Determine appropriate cameras, lenses, lighting, sound, framing, shutter settings, focus and other technical requirements to achieve the intended visual style and effect.
Direct and supervise filming activities, including the positioning of cameras, lighting, sound equipment, products, props and presenters.
Record high-quality video and audio content for advertising, websites, social media, product demonstrations, training and other digital channels.
Work confidently with customers, team members, athletes, influencers, brand partners and other talent, directing interviews and on-camera content.
Review recorded footage, select appropriate scenes and arrange additional filming or re-shoots when required.
Edit video and audio content, including colour correction, sound mixing, graphics, titles, captions and visual effects.
Prepare and adapt content in the correct formats and specifications for websites, social media, eCommerce, digital advertising and other distribution channels.
Maintain organised production files, raw footage and completed media assets, ensuring content is accessible and ready for use.
Work closely with Marketing, Product, Sales and Customer Experience teams to understand campaign objectives and translate briefs into effective video content.
Ensure all content meets brand guidelines, copyright, talent release and workplace health and safety requirements.
What you’ll bring:
A relevant bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in film, television, screen or media production or a closely related field; or equivalent relevant professional experience
Demonstrated professional experience managing video productions from concept through to final delivery.
Strong practical knowledge of professional cameras, lenses, lighting, sound recording and production equipment.
Proficiency in professional video-editing and post-production software.
A portfolio or show-reel demonstrating commercial, promotional or product-focused video work.
Strong creative judgement, visual storytelling and script-development skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and production deadlines.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent, high-quality production standards.
Understanding of copyright, talent releases, brand requirements and workplace health and safety obligations relevant to video production.
A passion for fitness, health and wellness.
